Dharamsala Amritsar Tour

Day 01: Delhi
Upon reaching capital of India, Delhi, you will meet your tour representative, who will further assist and transfer you to the luxurious hotel. Delhi holds a special captivating charm with its unique and harmonious amalgamation of rich yore and supersonic modish present. There are countless exquisite historical and modern sites to witness, each echoing an eternal tale. In the afternoon, you will go on an excursion of both Old and New Delhi. The famous sites include, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Akshardham Temple, Qutub Minar, Humanyun Tomb, Lotus temple, etc.

Day 02: Delhi - Shimla
On day two, you will be driven early in the morning to Shimla, situated at a distance of 380 km. Shimla is among the most popular and liked hill stations of India and was the summer capital in the British Era. This hill station is surrounded by plethora of natural and scenic beauty. From here you can enjoy some alluring vistas of snow-capped ranges of Himalayas. Shimla, even today, clasps the stark essence of colonial reign. The weather remains quite pleasant and chilling. Upon arrival, you will check-in to the hotel followed by a night's stay.

Day 03: Shimla
In the morning of this day, you will begin the sightseeing tour of Shimla. Shimla is home to several of historical architectures, picturesque picnic spots, amusing green parks and excellent scenic beauty all around. The famous tourist sites include Shimla Ridge, Annandale, Glenn, Prospect Hill, State Museum & Library, Summer Hill and Viceregal Lodge. In the afternoon, you are free to explore Shimla's local markets which offer some unique, traditional and interesting goods. Overnight stay will be in the hotel.

Day 04: Shimla - Sarahan
In the morning, you will be driven to Sarahan, situated about 175 km away. It is a little confined suburban area in the Sutlej valley. Sarahan is a dazzling destination to have a peaceful time. It offers some angelic spectacle of beautiful Himalayan valleys and charming snow sheathed peaks which unfold the majestic magnetic appeal of an absolute hilly terrain. Sarahan is enveloped with deodars and pines forests, startling terraced farms and tempting apple orchards. En route, we halt in Rampur to visit magnificent Palace Temple. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Sarahan.

Day 05: Sarahan - Sangla
On this day, you will begin 90 km journey towards enthralling Sangla Valley, situated at an altitude of 8900 ft in Kinnaur district. This enticing land lies along the banks of Baspa River, which is reckoned for its ultimate dazzling beauty. The town is packed with verdurous conifer slopes, grassy meadows, charming apple and chilgoza orchards and misty white bedded Kinner Kailash ranges. Sangla is also well known for its superb Kamru Fort and Kamakshi temple. In the afternoon, you will be taken to explore Chitkul which is an actual Kinnauri village. Overnight stay will be in a tent.

Day 06: Sangla - Spello
On this day, you will be heading towards Spello passing through Kalpa, situated above Recong Peo, former capital. Kalpa is a little town, situated along Sutlej River Valley and is immensely known for its flourishing apple orchards. You will get mesmerized witnessing the mind-blowing vista from Kalpa to Kinner Kailas. Overnight stay will be in the tents.

Day 07: Spello - Nako - Chango
On day seven, you will be driven to the little bizarre village of Nako, perched at an elevation of 3663 m and located on a glorious hill. This beautiful village is blessed with majestic Lake Nako, created from the bunch of ice and snow and Nako monastery. It is believed that the monastery is quite hard to locate and the main temple is of the godhead Vairocana. Then you will continue your drive to Chango. On reaching there, you will be transferred to your tents for overnight stay.

Day 08: Chango - Tabo - Sichling
In the morning, you will start driving to reach Tabo, which is famously called as 'The Ajanta of the Himalayas' as it houses impeccable lustrous murals and alluring images. Tabo is extremely famous for its monastery which is situated at the unbeatable altitude of Spiti. Founded in 996 AD, it carries great importance in the entire Spiti valley. Upon reaching Tabo, you will visit this over thousand year old monastery. Later you will continue driving to Sichling. Upon reaching there, you will retire in the tent for an overnight stay.

Day 09: Sichling - Kaza
On this day, you will be visiting spectacular Dankhar Gompa, constructed on a cliff around 800 years ago. This monastery is extremely astonishing and rejuvenates all senses with its peaceful aura. Afterwards, you will be driving to Lha Lun, regarded as the second jewel of Spiti. Kaza is the sub-divisional headquarters of the Spiti Valley. It is situated on the left shores of Spiti River at a height of 3600 m. Kaza offers some amazing trekking routes, stunning monasteries and quaint remote villages. Overnight stay will be in guest house or tents.

Day 10: Kaza
On this day, you will be visiting fascinating Kibber village, situated at an altitude of 4205 m. It is regarded as the highest village equipped with a road and electricity. Then afterwards, you will visit awe- inspiring Kye monastery which is located on a little but charming hill. Possibly you can even join and participate in the ceremony which takes place in the monastery.

Day 11: Kaza - Chhota Dara
This day, you will be driving towards Chhota Dara, passing over beautiful Kunzam Pass. Chhota Dara, in its true sense, is a place that can be called 'heaven on earth', as it is absolutely beautiful, which can not be expressed in words. Against the stunning azure sky lie misty mountains, green meadows and rocky terrain. The beauty of this place is surely breathtaking and will leave you open - mouthed. Overnight stay will be in the camps here.

Day 12: Chhota Dara - Udeypur
This day you will be driving towards Udeypur which is extremely popular for divine Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage destination. On your way you will also halt at magnificent Gondlah and Tandi. Both these places will offer you enthralling scenic beauty and will definitely leave you astounded. Don't forget to capture the marvelous scenery. Upon reaching, you will be staying for the night in the tents here.

Day 13: Udeypur - Keylong
This day, you will drive to Keylong, earlier house of Moravians. It is located at an altitude of 3340 m and is the district headquarters of Lahaul Spiti. It is a paradise of lush greenery, emerald trees, exquisite water streams, chestnut hills and snow wrapped mountains. En route, you will also halt at the picturesque and holy Triloknath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight stay will be in simple guesthouse.

Day 14: Keylong - Manali
On this day, you will be driven towards the queen of hill stations, Manali, crossing the snowy and freezing Rotang Pass which is situated at an altitude of 3913 m. This hill station is blessed with some heart-stirring landscapes, breathtaking snow covered peaks, stunning Beas River, aromatic deodar and pine trees and heavenly fruit orchards. The chilling town houses astounding temples, enthralling scenic beauty and bunch of adventurous activities. You can also indulge in some trekking here. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Manali.

Day 15: Manali - Dharamsala
This day, you will be driven towards Dharamsala passing through Mandi. Dharamshala lies on the foot of the Dhauladhar ranges and is encircled with amazing oak and conifer tress. Also you can enjoy some alluring views of snow covered mountains standing anywhere in this small magnificent town. The snow line is even quite easily accessible from here. Dharamshala serves as the headquarters of the Kangra district. Upon reaching, you will be transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 16: Dharamshala
Dharamshala is the residence of Noble Laureate the 'Dalai Lama'. This day you will explore famous beautifully designed and structured monasteries. You will also visit Mcleod Ganj, where Dalai Lama resides. Mcleod Ganj is situated at a higher height and is extremely famous for its serene ambience. This place is also the headquarters of exile Tibetan government. Mcleodganj is also sometimes referred as the 'Little Lhasa' as it looks similar to a miniature of Lhasa. Overnight would be at Dharamshala.

Day 17: Dharamsala - Dalhousie
This morning, you will be driven to another angelic hill station of Himachal Pradesh, Dalhousie. It is located in the stunning Dhauladhar mountain ranges and serves as the entrance to the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Dalhousie abides dense picturesque oak, pine and deodar forests through which you can even walk exploring commendable natural beauty and rare vistas. In Dalhousie you can spot some ultimate scenery of Chenab, the Ravi and the Beas valleys too. It is an amazing dwelling to spend peaceful and rejuvenating time.

Day 18: Dalhousie - Amritsar
On this day, you will be driving about 191 km to reach Amritsar, home of the holiest shrine of the Sikh, Golden Temple. The gleaming city of Amritsar displays colorful traditions, copious historical significance and amaranthine spirituality. Also Amritsar is sometime recited as the jewel of Punjab. On a broader ground it is a flourishing repository of national legacy and religion. Upon reaching Amristar, you would be escorted to the hotel, after which you can relax and rewind your nerves.

Day 19: Amritsar - Delhi
On this second last day of the tour, you will first visit divine, impeccable and eternally beautiful Golden Temple, traditionally called as Harmandir Sahib. The flawless architecture with walls plated with gold is sure to leave you startled. It is one of the holiest and most important pilgrimage sites of Sikh. Devotees from all over the world come to witness the divine appeal of the same. Also seeing people dipping in the holy water to wash away their sins would serve as an interesting sight. In the afternoon, you will catch a flight for Delhi.

Day 20: Delhi - Departure
With the sunrise of this day, this amazing tour will come to its end. Surely the entire tour will leave a lasting impression in the bottom of your heart. You will be transferred to the international airport, from where you can catch flight back home or for your onward destination.
