Day 01: Arrive Jammu - Katra
Upon arriving at the Jammu airport or railway station, our representatives would welcome you in a traditional Indian manner. Immediately, you will be driven to Katra, which is around 50 km away. Beautifully enfolded in the Trikuta Mountains, Katra town serves as the main halt for tourists of temple of Mata Vaishno Devi. En route, the scenic beauty will deeply mesmerize you. On reaching, we transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Katra - Mata Darshan - Katra
In the morning, we begin our 13 km trek to the holy shrine of Vaishnodevi Mata. Don't fret about the distance for the eternal faith and spirituality in the Devi would fill your heart with the zeal that would eventually make the path easy and enjoyable. In case you are unable to tread the path on your own, you can hire ponies or horses on a direct pay basis that would take you up till the desired destination. Another option available is helicopter service which you can opt personally. Post the divine darshan of mata, come back to the hotel in Katra. Relax and retire for a night's stay.
Day 03: Katra - Pahalgam
Post breakfast, you will be driven 270 kms to Pahalgam. Famous as "Valley of Shepherds, Pahalgam is truly a mountain wonderland cuddled amid forests of pine, cedar, and deodars, and fringed by misty snow-wrapped peaks. On arrival, you would be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for exploration. You can enjoy a mirth time walking or riding in ponies along River Lidder. This place is immensely popular for some trekking paths and also serves a base camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage. Overnight stay is in Pahalgam.
Day 04: Pahalgam - Srinagar
Post delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven towards the capital city of J & K, Srinagar, which is around 97 km away. On the way, you would be visiting the fascinating Awantipura ruins. It is an 1100 years old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated in the lap of natural beauty and thus, makes the entire semblance ultra astonishing. Upon reaching Srinagar, you will be checked-in to a hotel/houseboat. In the afternoon, exploring the enchanting Shankaracharya temple is planned. Overnight stay is in Srinagar.
Day 05: Srinagar
In the morning, post enjoying a finger-licking breakfast, would commence the expedition of the compelling and mesmerizing city of Srinagar. To start with, you would be visiting the assuaging Mogul Garden "Nishat" (The Garden of Pleasure) and pacifying "Shalimar" (Abode of All). Afterwards, you will be driven along lake side on a stunning avenue. Such is the charisma and gripping beauty of the place that mouthing the words "Kashmir is the heaven on earth" would naturally come by you. While returning, you would also visit a local handicrafts emporium. The vast variety of hand-knotted products specifically silken carpets, shawls, jewelry ornaments available herein is sure to leave you enthralled. Overnight stay is at the houseboat.
Day 06: Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar
Early in the morning, post breakfast, you would be driven to Sonamarg, located 84 km away at a height of 9000 ft. This beautiful destination is also known as "The Meadow of Gold". Sonamarg is nestled between the snow-capped mountains and an azure sky. Also, the Sindh River strolling out with plenty of trout and mahaseer adds to the ultimate charm of the place. You can take ponies on rent for climbing up to exquisite Thajiwas glacier. In the evening, you would return to Srinagar for a night stay.
Day 07: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
In the morning, after munching mouth watering breakfast, we drive to another overwhelming site, Gulmarg, situated 54 km away from Srinagar at a height of 8700 ft. Gulmarg is also known as the "Meadow of Flowers' and is an immensely popular ski resort. It also houses the world's highest 18 hole green golf course. Gulmarg would fascinate you with its utter scenic beauty and marvelous white coverage. Enjoy a merry time witnessing the dazzling vistas of Kongdori on an exciting Cable Car Ride. Afterwards you would be taken to the Church & Gulmarg's Golf Club. In the evening, you would be returning to the hotel.
Day 08: Srinagar - Jammu Departure
Day eight would bring an end to this astounding trip. Post breakfast at the hotel, at a given time, you will be driven to Jammu airport or railway station to board your flight or train for home or onwards destination.
