Ladakh Trekking Tour

Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Our representative will receive you at airport and help you to check in at a hotel. Thereafter, you will be taken for the sightseeing. Delhi proffers travelers with several places of tourist interest like the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, India Gate and Parliament House. Once you have captured the historic essence of the city, it is time to collect souvenirs for yourself and your family as we guide you to one of the most visited shopping zones of Delhi, the Connaught Place. Thereafter, you return to hotel for an overnight stay. Enjoy luscious variety of cuisine and charge yourself up for an incredible trip.

Day 02: Delhi - Leh (3500 m)
Day two begins with a trip to Leh. For the same, our representatives would take you to the airport wherein you can board a flight. Upon arrival at Leh, you would be received by our representatives, who, in turn, would help you check-in at the hotel. Not much is scheduled for this day, as you need to first accustom yourself to the high altitude. A small walk in the afternoon would allow you to capture the mesmerizing and compelling beauty of this gloriously exotic valley.

Day 03: Leh
Post breakfast, you start the day with Leh sightseeing that includes exploring monasteries like Tikse, Shey, Spituk, Phyang and Stock Palace. It will give you a chance to learn about Buddhist meditation and Buddhist monasteries. What's more, you would also get an opportunity to meet lamas gurus and gain valuable tips for better life, health and meditation.

Day 04: Leh - Spituk - Zinchen (3600 m)
Begin the day with a 10 km scenic drive to Spituk, the starting point for the trekking expedition. While trekking, you would cross Indus River and enter the valley of Zinchen River. After a walk of 5-6 hours in the valley near the village, we will have our first camp. Stay here for overnight in the tent.

Day 05: Zinchen - Yurutse (4200 m)
Day five further accentuates the quest for adventure and fun as you trek further upscale and reach Rumbak Village. This trudge would take about three hours. Upon reaching the village, you need to cross the small stream and trudge further only to reach Yurutse later in the afternoon. After reaching Yurutse, continue with the walk of about 2 km ahead of the village and camp there for overnight stay. It will be around 5 to 6 hours walk.

Day 06: Yurutse - Ganda La - Shingo (4200 m)
Keep the energy levels mounting as you go further towards the first Pass, Ganda La (4950 m). This trek is short and would take just 1.5 hours. From Ganda La, you would have an overview of the Zanskar range and the Valley. The visual treat and gripping beauty of the place is sure to make up for all the energy consumed in the process. After some rest, you descend from there to reach a small village Shingo, located close-by. Shingo would be the resting zone for the night.

Day 07: Shingo - Skiu (3400 m)
The expedition gets further exciting as you walk past Shingo towards the next destination, which is Skiu. Descending through the beautiful gorge, to Skiu village alongside Markha River, the journey is likely to be of 6-7 hours.

Day 08: Skiu - Markha (3600 m)
For this day, Markha is the destination that you need to go to. So, pack your bags and take all your belongings as you trek further to Markha from the base camp Skiu. For the same, you need to walk along Markha River. En route you will get chance to explore the beautiful chortens also known as stupa. The whole trek would take around 6-7 hours.

Day 09: Markha - Hankar (4200 m)
The village of Hankar is the highest village in Markha Valley and the last before Nimaling plateau. Mt Kang Yatze (6400 m) slowly rises in front of us as we continue walking to Hankar. Though the journey is 6 to 7 hours long, the eye-catching landscape and mystical setting is sure to make up for the tiredness and re-fuel your parched nerves.

Day 10: Hankar - Nimaling (4750 m)
The destination for the tenth day is Nimaling, an idyllic place that is sure to quench the thirst for exotic natural beauty. Once you have treaded past the Hankar beyond the Markha River, you would ascend towards the huge Nimaling Plateau, presided by the magnificent Mt Kang Yatze snow mountain. The whole journey would take about 6 to 7 hours.

Day 11: Nimaling - Sumdo (3660 m)
This day would mark as a special day in your travel itinerary as you would reach the highest point on your trek, at Kongmaru La (5150 m). This journey would take about 2 to 3 hours. A steep descent follows after the Pass, later through the gorge, and the valley slowly opens us as we arrive in Zanskar Sumdo. We camp here for overnight stay.

Day 12: Sumdo - Hemis (3550 m) - Leh
This would be the last day for the trek. From Sumdo, would start the trek towards Hemis Monastery, a stretch that would take about 3 hours. 360 years old, Hemis is the most important monastery of Ladakh. The gigantic Tankha, one of the largest in the world, is displayed once in 12 years. Last was seen in 1992. Firstly we will visit to the monastery and then drive 40 km/ 1 hr, back to Leh where you would check-in at the hotel.

Day 13: Leh - Delhi
This day will be the day to end one part of the journey and move further for another part of it. From Leh, you would board a flight that would reach Delhi by noon. Our representatives will help you check-in at the hotel wherein you can rest for the day or indulge in the spirit of the city.

Day 14: Delhi - Agra
From places of scenic beauty to those of historic interest, day fourteen takes your expedition a step further as you drive down 210 kms to reach the city of Taj, Agra. En route Agra, you would get a chance to visit Sikandara, the mausoleum of Akbar. After reaching Agra, check-in at the hotel and take rest for sometime. Thereafter, proceed for sightseeing, visiting Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb and world famous Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal.

Day 15: Agra - Jaipur
This day is reserved for traveling. After breakfast, starts the journey from Agra as you move towards Jaipur. The distance is 240 km long. En route you would visit Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece in sandstone with the stunning elegance of its palaces & courts. Upon arrival, check-in at a hotel in Jaipur for overnight stay. In the evening, enjoy the beauty of Pink City with lavish Indian cuisine.

Day 16: Jaipur
Day sixteen after breakfast you will be taken for sighseeing. Jaipur offers numerous places of tourist interest, right from City Palace to Observatory, Wind Palace and many more. In the afternoon, enjoy the elephant ride and experience the royalty as it carries you to Amber Fort.

Day 17: Jaipur - Delhi
Early in the morning, after breakfast you will be checked out from the hotel and driven back to Delhi, nearly 260 km away. Here our tour would conclude. Our representatives would take you to the international/domestic airport from where you can go towards your onward destinations.
