Leh Srinagar Tour

Day 01: Arrive Leh
Upon arriving at the Leh airport, you would be greeted by our generous representative. Thereafter we transfer you to a luxurious hotel. Leh is the capital city of Ladakh. Situated at a height of 11500 ft, it imparts magnificent and awe-inspiring scenic beauty. The land is surrounded by two of the world's largest mountain ranges, namely the Great Himalaya and the Karakoram. It also stands athwart two others, the Ladakh range and the Zanskar range. Ladakh is often called as the "Land of Passes." As the place is located at great heights, the rest of the day is free basically for becoming accustomed to the weather condition. Overnight stay is in the hotel.

Day 02: Leh sightseeing
This day you will be thrilled seeing the breathtaking beauty of Leh. Post mouthwatering breakfast, you would be taken for a full day excursion trip to the famous monasteries such as Shey, Thicksey & Hemis. Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and holds the enthralling 36 ft. high statue of Buddha made up of copper and sheathed with gold. This is amongst the most rewarding sights of Leh and is highly appreciated. Thicksey is the twelve-storied monastery located in the most pronounced of positions; it lies on an amazing island Mountain. Hemis, on the other hand, is the wealthiest monastery of the region and belongs to the Red Sect. Here, every summer, plays are organized and Ladakhis from the entire country visit Hemis. In the evening, you would return to Leh. Overnight stay is in hotel.

Day 03: Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh
After an early morning breakfast, you would be driven to Pangong Lake at around 5 A.M. Passing through Changla Pass, while going up, you can wholeheartedly enjoy the awesome panoramic view of the villages situated below the pass. Post crossing the pass, you can relish a lip-smacking picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer's well known land of the Yaks. Upon reaching Durbuk, you would take a drive to the western shore of the lake. The marvelous landscape at the backdrop is sure to leave you fascinated. The popular blue blackish lake of Pangong flow partially the other side of the "Indo China Border". Standing on the shores of the lake, you would feel as if you are swinging in the nature's lap. Later enjoy dinner in the hotel followed by an overnight stay.

Day 04: Leh - Khardungla Pass - Leh
In the morning post breakfast, a half day excursion trip to Khardungla which is the world's highest motorable road & gateway to Siachen Glacier awaits. It was constructed in 1979 and was opened to motor vehicles in 1988. Eventually, it has become the most loved place for automobile, motorbike and mountain biking expeditions. Khardungla offers not only rare magnificent scenic beauty, but also several exciting activities. You are free to enjoy any personal activity. In the evening, you would be taken to a Ladakhi family house to know more about the culture of the place. Return to Leh for an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 05: Leh - Uleyktokpo
Next morning after luscious breakfast, you would move to Uleyktokpo. En route you would visit popular spituk monastery founded in the 11th century. It was so named by a scholarly translator Rinchen Zangpo. The monastery is located on the top of the hill and is very famous for its huge varied collection of ancient masks, icons, antique arms and several Thangkas. Continuing the journey, you would eventually reach Uleyktokpo. Overnight would be at the hotel.

Day 06: Uleyktokpo - Kargil
Post breakfast at the hotel, you would be taken to Kargil. It is the headquarters of Kargil district and is situated on the banks of the Suru River. On the way, you would be visiting the famous landmarks like the rock carved stature of Matriya Buddha at Mulbek, Lamayuru monastery and Moon land. No other monastery can match the beauty that of Lamayuru. You even get an opportunity to explore various small but charming villages surrounding the area. On arrival at Kargil, you would be escorted to a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Kargil - Sonamarg - Srinagar
Post early breakfast, you would move further to yet another exotic destination Srinagar via Sonamarg, located at a height of 9000 ft. En route you would also encounter the Sindh River which flows through the valley offering spectacular vistas. On your way, you would have a glimpse of ravishing Thajiwas glacier, a popular attraction in summers. While traveling, you would also pass through Drass which is a small township in the centre of a Drass valley. Interestingly, it is the second coldest inhabited place in the world, so make sure you carry a lot of warm clothes. The place is quite picturesque too. On reaching Srinagar, you would be checked-in to a hotel or houseboat. Overnight stay is in Srinagar.

Day 08: Srinagar visit
Post breakfast this morning begins the sightseeing tour. Srinagar is the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. A dazzling hill station and ideally situated in the stunning Kashmir valley, the place surprises you with spectacular views of the gorgeous lakes. Seeing the amazing natural beauty here you will definitely be sweeped off your feet. To start off with, you would visit Mogul Garden "Nishat" (The Garden of Pleasure) and "Shalimar" (Abode of All) and then drive along the lake side on Boulevard. While coming back, you would explore a local handicrafts emporium for admiring hand-knotted specialty silken carpets, shawls, jewelry ornaments. Afterwards, you would be taken to Shankeracherya Temple. In the evening, a fun boat ride on Dal Lake by a gondola Boat called Shikara for around three hours awaits. Known as the "Venice of India", the lake is surrounded by the splendid beauty. On the way back, you can visit local crafts markets and have a look at the finely carved hand-made articles from Paper Machie & wood of a walnut. Overnight stay is at the hotel or houseboat.

Day 09: Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar
Post an early breakfast, a full day tour to Sonamarg, located at a height of 9000 ft is planned. Sonamarg is also famously called as the "Meadow of Gold" and holds landscapes comprising of marvelous snowy mountains against an azure sky. The Sindh River flows following a zigzag path through the valley and is engulfed with trout and mahaseer. You can take ponies on rent here for the touring up to the astonishing Thajiwas glacier, which is a famous attraction, especially in summer times. In the evening, we return to Srinagar for a night's stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Srinagar - Pahalgam
After having delicious breakfast, we drive to Pahalgam. The place is also famously called as the "Valley of Shepherds." Pahalgam offers mesmerizing scenic beauty and is situated at the junction of River Lidder and various streams originating from Sheshnag Lake. The place is often recited as a mountain paradise. After reaching here, we check-in to a hotel. You can enjoy a walk around the bank of River Lidder. The scenic beauty is sure to delight you immensely. This place is also popular for trekking routes and also serves as the base camp Amarnath pilgrimage. Overnight stay is in the hotel.

Day 11: Pahalgam
In the morning, enjoy delicious breakfast and this entire day is free at leisure so that you can explore the place more deeply and enjoy some thrilling activities. Apart from relishing the panoramic vistas of the nature, you can also enjoy many adventurous activities like golf, horse riding, trekking and several water sports. Also, the unexplored wavy hills are a great attraction. Pahalgam is also popular shopping destination, especially for woolen goods. It also contributes to the part of the region in Asia where saffron is cultivated. Overnight stay would be at a hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 12: Pahalgam - Gulmarg
In the morning post breakfast, we drive to alluring Gulmarg, which is 54 km away from Srinagar and is situated at an altitude of 8700 ft. This place was named as "Gulmarg" in the 16th century and is also famously known as "Meadow of Flowers". The place is enveloped with the snow crowned Himalayan Mountains. Even the air of Gulmarg is aromatic, because of the presence of infinite colorful flowers. Gulmarg serves an ideal destination for adventure lovers as it has a popular ski resort & the world's highest 18 hole green golf course. On your way, you would also get a chance to explore the Awantipura Ruins of 9th century & Mattan Temple Complex. After reaching Gulmarg, you would be escorted to a hotel. The remaining day is free for personal excursion. You can relish scenic beauty of Kongdori on a cable car ride or visit the church & golf club of Gulmarg. In the night, enjoy mouthwatering dinner at the hotel followed by the overnight stay.

Day 13: Gulmarg - Srinagar Depart
The wonderful trip ends this day. In the morning post breakfast, our representative would drive you to Srinagar airport. On reaching, we help you board a flight back home or for your onward destination.
